Government issues new guidelines for phased re-opening (Unlock 1) of all activities outside containment zones for the next one month whereas nationwide lockdown in containment zones extended up to June 30.
Here Are the major highlights from the issued guidelines for Unlock 1 -
Religious places and places of worship for the public; hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality services; and shopping malls; will be permitted to open from June 8, 2020.
Night curfew timings will be changed to 9 pm-5 am from the existing 7 pm-7 am.
National directives for Covid-19 management, including compulsory use of face masks and social distancing norms.
Senior citizens, persons with co-morbidities, children below 10 years advised staying home.
No restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons of goods. No separate permission/approval/e-permit required.
Schools, colleges will be opened in consultation with states/UTs and Central ministries, other stakeholders (decision to be taken in July).
Only a limited number of activities will remain prohibited throughout the country. These activities are International air travel, Metro Rail operations, the opening of cinema halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places, social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions/ and other large congregations.
