JOB POST: Chairperson-cum Member(Legal) At Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission





Applications are invited for appointment to the posts of Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) for the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of Jamshedpur Utility and Services Company (JUSCO) at Jamshedpur, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) at Maithon, Dhanbad and Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) at Dumka & Hazaribagh.


  • The applications are to be submitted as per instructions given below :


a) The candidate shall be possessing degree in Law and having atleast 20 years of experience in Legal/Judicial work not below the rank of District/Additional District Judge.


b) The Candidate shall be persons of ability, integrity and standing who have adequate knowledge of and have shown capacity in dealing with the problems relating to Law.


c) The age of candidate to be considered for appointment as Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) shall be minimum 45 years and maximum 62 years as on 01.04.2020


d) The Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) shall hold office for a term of 5 years or 65 years of age, whichever is earlier. The Member shall not be eligible for reappointment to the same post.


e) The Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) will get salary equivalent to the last pay drawn by them minus pension. The D.A and other allowances/facility would be as per State Governments orders issued from time to time.


  • The candidates can apply directly to the undersigned along with full bio-data and copy of degree on the basis of which he is applying through registered/speed post only so as to reach latest by 30.04.2020.

  • The crucial date for determination of eligibility of applicants for the post of Chairperson-cum-Member (Legal) will be 01.04.2020.
